inspiring

when a man with the shell of grunt and gruff
shows his softness and shares a precious tear
after his daily visit with his wife who has alzheimers…

when the uncommon soul
lives her words with such conviction
yet has no words of judgement for those who do not…

the poet spinning thoughts into textured yarns
then weaving them with an alchemist’s vision
to the experience inbetween the words...

to the natural world -
in it’s magnificent resilience and breath taking complexity -
does not judge any part of itself… including us.
it just is...

to the most the most simple things
a shaft of golden light
the currents in the sky
the first flower blooming in late winter
a smile
or a kind word said - without any particular motive...

even this body that breathes and breathes...
with a heart that beats and beats...
and a mind…
and opposing thumbs…

extra-ordinary
